Metro Crane Delivers Six 25-ton Capacity Cranes

In mid-2004, Metro Crane built and installed two 20-ton capacity double girder overhead bridge cranes for a Major Concrete Products Manufacturer in Waukesha, Wisconsin. These were the latest of a number of orders Metro Crane has received from from this company. These cranes are Class "D" rated with all directions inverter-operated. They feature radio remote control and have the ability to be controlled from a single transmitter for tandem operation. Metro Crane was chosen because of its long-standing history of quality products and quick, responsive service.

Used Crane Purchases - Research Prior to Purchase

If you're reading this, there's a good chance that you're in the market for a used crane. We sell many used cranes and welcome your inquiries. There are a few critical points to consider and questions to ask. Here's just a few tips...

• A used crane may require parts - are parts still available at a reasonable price? Many cranes and hoists on the market are obsolete and parts are not available
• It is extremely rare that a used crane will require no modification to operate in your facilitiy
• Just because a used crane has a high profile brand name, doesn't mean that you'll be receiving problem-free operation
• Remember a used crane will have little or no warranty
• When considering purchasing a used crane from am auction, It is critical to include the cost of removal, and modification and the consider the above suggestions
• If the cost of a used crane is approaching 60% of the cost of a new one, it is probably not a good deal. The freight and installation costs are the same new or used.
